The Ministry of Health is the main organ of the National Health-Care Service. The act of 2001 assigns to the Ministry the task to preserve human health, organize the National Health-Care System, the veterinary health care, to preserve health care in working places, and the hygiene and safety of food.
The function of the Ministry of Health Care is:
- Guarantee equality, quality, efficiency and transparency through communication,
- Highlight discrepancies and unfairness and try to solve them and to improve them,
- Collaborate with Regions to evaluate the health-care situation and to improve it,
- To plan innovations and changes in order to face the dangers that threaten the public health status.
